3617273 - SAC: Navigation Panel (Script: openNavigationPanel()) not updated when switching to different story pages

Symptom

Navigation Panel (Script: openNavigationPanel()) not updated when switching to different story pages and still displays the panel content from original table defined in the openNavigationPanel() script.

Environment

SAP Analytic Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click Button Open Navigation Panel -- on 1st page: table_XX.openNavigationPanel();
  2. Move to a different page, the navigation panel does not change accordingly to the new page content.

Cause

Standard Behavior

Resolution

  1. The openNavigationPanel script API is linked to a specific table.
  2. User can determine the corresponding table name and layout through the Left Side Panel -> Outline.
  3. Current standard behavior: when user switches pages, the current navigation panel remains linked to the table specified in the script.
  4. We recommend that user can use Data Analyzer, or a combination of Optimized Story and Data Analyzer, to meet story navigation and exploration needs.
