3617407 - "User in Collaborative Step" text appears when a form is only in one user's inbox in a collaborative step

Symptom

"User in Collaborative Step" text appears in PM inbox under 'Currently with' column when a form is only in one user's inbox in a collaborative step.

When forms are routed to the collaborative step, at first the username of the role defined on the first place in the respective route map is visible before anyone opens the form, but after opening it and hitting the Cancel or Save&Close button, the username gets switched to the "User in Collaborative step" text.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Launch a form that has a collaborative step.
  2. Route the form to the collaborative step.
  3. Before opening the form see that in All forms folder Currently with column shows the username who is defined first in route map for that specific step.
  4. Open the form and then hit cancel button.
  5. See that in All forms folder Currently with column shows "User in Collaborative Step" text.

Cause

This is a coding issue.

Resolution

The expected behavior should show the user's full name if the form is only in one user's inbox in C step.

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed with 2H2025 release on 13-Oct-2025 for Preview and on 14-Nov-2025 for Production environments. For patch timelines, please review SAP SuccessFactors Patches Knowledge Base.
