3617701 - Resolving Encryption Key Mismatches in SAP Commerce Cloud Environments

Symptom

During the data migration from SAP Commerce 2205 to SAP Commerce Cloud 2211, the user table migration using the commercedbsync extension led to broken login for every account. Migrated passwords are encoded using pbkdf2, and the property "password.encoding.auto.update.enabled=true" was set to update the encoding to argon2 on the first login, but the error persists. New users created after the migration with the argon2/pbkdf2 encoding don't experience this issue, just the migrated ones.

Exception message encountered:

Exception while checking encoded password for user: 8802155233284. Invalid salt and/or hash.
