Symptom
When the user creates a new Appointment, the system automatically assigns a Category that has already been marked as inactive in the settings.
Environment
- SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
- SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Navigation menu.
- Go to Activity Manager view.
- Click to create a new Appointment.
- Observe that the Category field is pre-filled with a category that is currently inactive in the system.
Cause
This happens because the default Category configured in the Appointment General Settings is the same one that has been deactivated. Even if the Category is inactive, the system will continue to use it as the default until a new active Category is selected.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, update the default Appointment Category in the system settings to an active Category.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the User Menu.
- Search for Appointments and open General.
- In the Category section, select a new active Category from the dropdown.
- Save the changes.
After this update, the selected active category will be used by default for new appointments.
