Symptom
In SAP payroll system, the calculation of the partial period factor, specifically the TAAU** parameter, may be unclear when unpaid absences coincide with public holidays. You may observe that although public holidays fall within their period of unpaid absence, these days are not counted as absence days by the system. You may expect TAAU** to discount these holidays as non-working days, similar to weekends or any other free days in employee work schedule, but instead, it counts the absence period without reducing the tally for public holidays.
