3618276 - Invalid onboardee error - Onboarding

The error: "Invalid onboardee: [userId]" is encountered during the Onboarding process.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate the onboarding process manually via Admin Center > Add New Hire to Onboarding.
2. Open the Review New Hire Data or Personal Data Collection step.
3. The error: "Invalid onboardee: [userId]" is received.

The valid status of the User Sys ID in the Table_USERS_SYSINFO table is "d" → which is an "Inactive External User".

This is a known issue currently affecting customers in the DC55 and DC33 data centers, where the "Invalid Onboardee" error may occur when onboarding is initiated manually. Our Engineering Team is actively investigating the issue to identify the root cause.

Workaround:

1. Cancel the current onboarding process.
2. Perform Master Data Purge
3. Permanently purge the affected user ID.
4. Reinitiate the onboarding process for the candidate from the beginning to generate a new, valid onboardee record.
