3618412 - Flexible billing of batch items is not working

Symptom

Though the flexible billing of batch items has been configured as variant B, it is not working properly.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

If the flexible billing of batch items is not working, one possible reason could be that the billing relevance for the item category in the preceding order is not A or K. The flexible billing of batch items is only supported for items of item categories with the following billing relevances:

  • Billing relevance A (delivery-related billing)
For example, item categories CBEN (standard item) and CBNF (standard item with freight).
  • Billing relevance K (delivery-related billing of partial quantities)
For example, item category TAN (standard item).

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior. To change the billing relevance of a specific item category, it's recommended to submit a feature request.
