Symptom

The installation fails with a C++ error when running setup.exe or setupConsole.exe.

  • Installer fails to load sylapij.dll and needs to verify Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015 Redistributable Packages.
  • Error persists despite the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistribution Package.

Error: The installer failed to load
C:\SybaseServer\ASESERV161000P_0-70008881\ebf30945\archives\sylapi\sylapij.dll. Please verify that you have the correct and complete installer image.
