Symptom
This KBA describes a known error on adding non-alphanumeric text on Job Profile. The error message:
“You cannot save the sections ([null]) because they contain non-alphanumeric text. The use of non-alphanumeric text may create potential vulnerabilities for cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. Update each of the sections to use only alphanumeric text.; You cannot save the sections ([null]) because they contain non-alphanumeric text. SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Edit the Job Profile section of the job requisition.
- Select Add Section or Update Section > Description.
- Insert text with non-alphanumeric characters.
- Observe the Error Message.
Resolution
The patch is scheduled on 2505p8. Preview Release on June 10 and Production Release on June 12. For more Patch Information, refer to: link.
Workaround: Do not use newline added by Shift+Enter. Instead, use Enter to create a new paragraph.
