3618899 - Error message "Storage bin cannot be deleted because it is not empty" (SCWM/L1012) occurred while deleting a storage bin

When trying to delete the storage bin, for example in Edit Storage Bins app (/SCWM/LS02), the following error message occurred:

/SCWM/L1012: "Storage bin cannot be deleted because it is not empty"

There are 2 possible causes for this issue.

Cause 1:
There exists any open stock or pending warehouse task for this storage bin.
Follow below steps to check whether this is the case:

1. Go to Warehouse Monitor app , and navigate to "Stock and Bin" - "Storage Bin" to open the storage bin page.
2. Open the issue storage bin with the form view to check if the "Empty Bin" indicator is set.
3. Click the "Physical Stock", "Available Stock", "Handling Unit", "FixedBinAssgmt", "Warehouse Task" to check if there are any open stock items or warehouse tasks.

Cause 2:
There are no open stock items or pending warehouse tasks for the storage bin, but the "Empty Bin" indicator is not set, which indicates an inconsistency of the storage bin status. 

For Cause 1, clear the open stock items or warehouse tasks first and then proceed to delete the storage bin.

For Cause 2, SAP intervention is needed. Raise a case to SAP Support under component SCM-EWM-MD-2CL to address this issue.
