3618993 - After 1H2025, it is impossible to enable the Capabilities Portfolio in Center of Capabilities

Symptom

  • After the 1H 2025 release, it's not possible to enable the Capabilities Portfolio in Center of Capabilities due to the following message: "This functionality has moved to Talent Intelligence Hub. Please upgrade to Talent Intelligence Hub and enable the Growth Portfolio".
  • Receiving the following error when trying to schedule the Learning Capabilities Synchronization: "The Capabilities Synchronization job can be scheduled only when Learning competencies are migrated to Center of Capabilities".

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Center of Capabilities
  • SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Manage Center of Capabilities.
  2. Click the Capabilities Portfolio page.
  3. Observe the following message: "This functionality has moved to Talent Intelligence Hub. Please upgrade to Talent Intelligence Hub and enable the Growth Portfolio".

Cause

This behavior is expected as per Viewing the Capabilities Portfolio:

  • "From the 1H 2025 release, you won't be able to enable the Capabilities Portfolio. To configure competencies and skills in your environment, it's recommended that you enable Talent Intelligence Hub and Growth Portfolio in your environment.
  • If you've already enabled Capabilities Portfolio in your instance, you can continue to use Capabilities Portfolio. However, it's recommended that you upgrade to Talent Intelligence Hub and enable Growth Portfolio in your environment for a better experience."

Resolution

Please upgrade to Talent Intelligence Hub and enable the Growth Portfolio, as per KBA 3328015.
