3619033 - Sales Document Report Breakdown Differs Due to Deactivation of Journal Entry Type in SAP Business ByDesign

Symptom

The Sales Document report shows consistent totals by project but differs in the breakdown by sales document. This is due to the removal of journal type 90098 (Reversal of Expense Assignment to Sales Docs.).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Analytics.
  2. Design Reports.
  3. Run the Sales Document (FINPRFU24_Q0001) report.
  4. Compare the breakdown by sales document to previous reports.
  5. The Sales Document report shows consistent totals by project but differs in the breakdown by sales document.

Cause

The difference in the Sales Document report is caused by journal entry type 90098 becoming inactive as it is no longer assigned to any business transaction.
This exclusion removes related entries from current reporting logic affecting the breakdown by sales document while keeping overall totals unchanged.

Resolution

This is standard system behavior.
