Symptom

In Plan Customer Projects, the user receives error "Before you proceed, assign all work packages to a sales order." while changing the Stage of a project to In Execution.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access app Plan Customer Projects.
  2. Attempt to change the Stage of a project to "In Execution".
  3. Observe the error message "Before you proceed, assign all work packages to a sales order.".

Cause

Incorrect user handling

Resolution

  1. Ensure all Work Packages are assigned to a Billing Item in the Billing Tab of Plan Customer Projects.
  2. Set Stage to In Execution.
