3620183 - Button 'Info Update' in Purchasing Infor Record app doesn't work

Symptom

The "Info Update Purchasing Info Record" button does not function as expected.

Details:

  • No action is triggered when the button is clicked.

  • No error message is displayed to the user.

  • Purchasing prices remain unchanged, even after attempting to update them through the button.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Create Purchase Order app (ME21N) or Change Purchase Order app (ME22N).
  2. Enter the vendor, purchasing organization, and purchasing group.
  3. Enter a material with an existing purchasing info record.
  4. Change the net price in the item details.
  5. Check the "Info Update" box.
  6. Save the Purchase Order.
  7. Go to the Display Purchasing Info Record app (ME13) to verify if the info record price was updated.

Resolution

To clarify, selecting the "Info Update" flag within the Purchase Order does not immediately update the price in the Purchase Info Record (PIR); it only marks the Info Record for update. The actual price update occurs when you run the Schedule Price Update app, which processes flagged records and updates their prices based on the latest PO data.

  • In the Purchase Order, check the Info Update flag to mark the Info Record.
  • Run the Schedule Price Update app to apply the PO price to the PIR.
  • After the job completes, verify the updated price in the PIR using the Display Purchasing Info Record app.
