Symptom
- In step Value Conversion of the Migration of Open Sales Orders activity, there is no value available for mapping against NORM.
- Item Type NORM is marked as erroneous with no corresponding value available to map.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Business Configuration work center.
- Open the Overview view.
- Search for the Migration of Open Sales Orders activity and Open.
- Select Migrate open sales orders using the migration tool.
- Upload or select the relevant Import File.
- Execute Migration Step by Step.
- At step 2 Value Conversion the Item Type NORM is marked as erroneous with no corresponding value available to map.
Cause
- When the Product Type maintained is 1, the Item Type is defaulted to NORM and there is no conversion required.
- The system is expected the Item Type value to be left empty, and will map the empty value as NORM in the Material Master Data.
Resolution
Remove the NORM value from the Import file and leave the field empty.
