Symptom
- To Be Hired adaptation is not working when employees are hired or updated via import
- It works as expected when employees are hired from Add New Employee page or edited via Take Action (MSS)
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Perform a job information import adding or editing the position of a user
- Check the Position and see that the To Be Hired field is not updated to "No".
- Same does not happen via UI; field is properly updated.
Cause
Follow-up process is not configured for imports.
Resolution
In order to trigger the follow-up process, the "HrisSLEventPublishConfig" must be created in Manage Data as mentioned in Setting Up Follow-Up Processes after Imports.
Please create the object if is not created yet following steps documented here: Configurations to Consider for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Events | SAP Help Portal
Note: In case that Centralized Services HRIS Event Publishing Configuration cannot be found in the object in Manage Data, follow the steps below:
- Go to Configure Object Definitions;
- Search for Centralized Services HRIS Event Publishing Configuration;
- Make Corrections;
- Add a label;
- Save it.
After above steps make sure to grant your user permission to this object under Miscellaneous Permissions.
If the issue persists after enabling this object, go to Admin Alerts -> Follow-up Activities to review if there is any issues after the import. The follow-up message will point to the error.
