Symptom

Receiving error when Importing Job Information "The data couldn't be imported due to insufficient permissions. Ensure that user has enabled the Job Information Import settings permission."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Import Employee Data
  2. Select entity: Job Information
  3. Select the import file
  4. Validate
  5. Error shows:

Cause

  • Missing or incorrect permission for Job Information Import in RBP.
  • Permission Employee Central Import Entities > Job Information is missing.

Resolution

  1. Go to: Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles
  2. Open the affected Permission Role
  3. Under "Employee Central Import Entities"
  4. Select Job Information
  5. Verify the Target Population for the permission role includes all employees or the relevant group you intend to import data for.
  6. Save.
  7. Once updated, please log out and log back in to apply permission changes
  8. Reattempt the import.
