3620534 - Error message format discrepancy between API V2 and V4 during order registration in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Error message format is not same in API V2 and V4.
  • In V2, multiple errors are returned, while V4 seems to return only a single error.
  • Detailed error messages such as "Account XXXXX requires an account assignment relevant to cost accounting" are not returned in V4.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Execute the PO creation process using API V2 and V4.
  2. Observe the error responses.
  3. Note that V4 does not produce detailed error messages as seen in V2.

The solution of this issue is currently under investigation.
