Symptom

  • You are unable to edit the value fields in advanced filter when using the condition "is initial"
  • When to use the "is initial" condition in advanced filter settings

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to tenant
  2. Open any BO, in this example Sales Quote
  3. In the Sales Quote OWL, select the filter icon
  4. Select your field, e.g. Description, and click the Plus & Right Arrow button
  5. Under the Conditions, change from "Equal To" to "is initial"
  6. The value text box cannot be edited

Note: This is relevant to all Workcenters

 

Cause

Expected behaviour. 

Resolution

When you set a filter condition to "Is Initial," you are typically dealing with a special condition that checks whether a field's value has been modified from its default, starting, or initial value. This condition doesn't require a value to be inputted because it's a boolean check.

If you need to filter based on specific criteria, use other conditions where manual value input is possible.
