3620969 - MS Teams Integration: Approved Leave Cancellation Not Synced to Calendar - SAP SuccessFactor Employee Central Time Off

When using the Microsoft Teams integration feature for syncing absences to calendar, an issue occurs where an approved leave cancellation is not reflected in the calendar, even after clicking "Sync Absences to Calendar" in Teams.

Despite receiving confirmation that the cancellation request was approved, the calendar still shows the employee as being on leave.

• Submit a leave cancellation request for a previously approved absence.

• Before the cancellation request is approved, open Microsoft Teams and use the "Sync Absences to Calendar" quick command.

  • The system confirms that the sync was performed successfully.

  • The calendar still displays the original approved absence, which is expected since the cancellation is pending approval.

• After the cancellation request is approved, use the "Sync Absences to Calendar" quick command again in Teams.

  • The previously cancelled leave is no longer displayed in the list of synced absences.

  • The calendar, however, continues to show the employee as being on leave.

• Restarting the system or repeating the sync command does not update the calendar to reflect the cancellation.

This is a Known Issue.

The engineering team is currently working on an enhancement to improve this behavior. Once implemented, every time a leave request is cancelled and subsequently approved, a notification will be sent to the end user to confirm that the corresponding calendar entry will also be removed.

Currently, the fix is planned for delivery in 1H 2026.
