3620984 - The Toolbar Menu in the Performance Form always appears in English when the Latest Form Experience is enabled

Symptom

  • The toolbar menu in the ellipsis (three-dot) always appears in English, despite the system language being set to Japanese or other languages, when the Latest Form Experience is enabled.
  • This behavior suggests that the Rich Text Editor toolbar may not currently support full localization, which could lead to inconsistent user experience for non-English-speaking users.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access a Performance Management (PM) form using the Latest Form Experience.
  2. Within the form, locate any comment box that utilizes the Rich Text Editor (RTE), such as those found under competencies or goals.
  3. Click on the ellipsis (three-dot icon) in the comment box to expand the full toolbar menu of the Rich Text Editor.
  4. Observe the language displayed in the expanded toolbar menu.

Despite the system language being set to a language other than English (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Japanese,etc.), the toolbar options within the Rich Text Editor consistently appear in English. This occurs regardless of the user’s language preference or system locale settings.

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2025 release (b2511).
