Symptom

In CDS View I_ENTERPRISEPROJECT, the "ProjectDescription" field retrieves the project name, but not the project description.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to "Customer Data Browser" app.
  2. Navigate to CDS view I_ENTERPRISEPROJECT.
  3. Look for project description field, and the value is project name, but not long text project description.

Cause

As mentioned in the SAP Help Portal, "Project Description" field in the I_ENTERPRISEPROJECT view is the actual project name but not the long text description.

Resolution

Currently there is no CDS view available to retrieve a project's long text description.
