3621061 - Software Collection cannot be deleted in Export Software Collection app - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When attempting to delete a Software Collection, you're getting the error "Collection XXX is already exported and thus can't be deleted.". 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to Export Software Collection app
2. Open the Software Collection that you want to delete 
3. Click on "Delete" button 
4. Error message will be triggered

It's not possible to delete a Software Collection that was already exported.

If the collection is not to be imported to the target system, it can be discarded in Import Collection app.

A discarded collection version is automatically transported to all subsequent systems so that any dependencies on the current version no longer exist.

The collections can only be discarded if they are not imported yet. They can have the following status: Ready for Import, Automation Import Validation Failed, Not Forwarded, Forwarding Failed, Restart Required.

Kindly note that SAP Central Business Configuration collection versions can’t be discarded.
