• An 'Unexpected program error' occurred while creating the dataset from the S/4 HANA import connection in SAC.
• Giving error: 'rawError': 'An error occurred while fetching data: Response from the external server returned a status code of 400. 

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2025.8.5

1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Navigate to the "Datasets" section.
3. Click on the "From Data Source" option.
4. In the "Acquired Data" section, select "SAP S/4 HANA."
5. Choose the connection.
6. Select the desired query named, along with all measures and dimensions.
7. Check "Select entire table " option click on next.
8. Set Query batch size to 50,000 and click on create.
9. Click on Save dataset.
10. Notice the "unexpected program error"

When using OData services with parameters, creating the query option using "Build a Query" is not supported in SAP Analytics Cloud. 

Use the "free hand query" option to create query instead of "build a query" option.
