Symptom
When trying to save a Sales Order document, the following error messages are displayed:
"Save Failed"
"Item XX: Quantity can not be less than minimum order quantity ABC"
(Where XX stands for the line item number and ABC is the Minimum Order Quantity maintained for the product).

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Sales Orders workcenter.
- Go to the Sales Orders view.
- Search for the ID XYZ (XYZ represents the relevant Sales Order ID).
- Click on Edit.
- Click on View All.
- Go to the Items tab.
- Change the item XX's quantity.
- Click on Save.
The error occurs.
Cause
The quantity maintained for the Item XX on the Sales Order is less than the Minimum Order Quantity maintained in the product master data of the item.
In order to check it, perform the following steps:
- On the Sales Order's Items tab, double click on the product from item XX.
- Click on View All.
- Go to the Sales tab.
The Minimum Order Quantity field is defined as an specific value.
Resolution
For the inconsistency to be corrected, the item XX quantity must be changed to an equal or greater value than the Minimum Order Quantity.
In case the item was somehow saved and cancelled/rejected via Reason For Rejection (and it is not editable anymore), proceed with the following actions:
- On the Item Details sub tab, remove the Reason For Rejection.
- Click on Save.
- Close the Sales Order.
- Open it again.
Then, the field will become editable once again, allowing corrections.
