Symptom
User has two positions as successors in the Succession Org Chart, one is HOST (Global Assignment) and another is the HOME. HOST position is not showing the Time in Position. We can see this data in the Employee Profile.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Succession Planning
Reproducing the Issue
- Succession Org Chart
- Open a position
- See the Successors
- There are two positions with the same user, one is HOST (GA) and another is HOME
- Open the Talent Card
- Only HOME is showing "In Position" data
- HOST position is empty for "In Position"
Cause
For HOST - Global Assignment (GA) users, when you add a new record to a GA user's profile page, it will be saved as the home user's record. If you export data from the Admin Center and select "Export Extended User Information," you will notice that the new record's user ID corresponds to the home user ID. Additionally, when accessing the GA user's profile page, it queries and displays the home user's background data. This means that by default, the GA user ID does not have its own background data unless you import it with the specified user ID.
Resolution
As "In Position" data is calculated based on the "insideworkexperience" records saved to the Global Assignment user ID, it's necessary to import the record via Admin Center by selecting "Import Extended User Information."
