3622180 - Cost Center assignment in Purchase Order

Symptom

The Cost Center taken in Material Documents generated for a PO with Account Assignment P is not deriving from the WBS Element

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The Cost Center taken in the Material Documents will be the one assigned in the PO Item (EKKN table), even if the Cost Center changes in the WBS Element afterwards.

Resolution

Correct system behavior. Alternatively, a BADI substitution (FIN_CODING_BLOCK_SUBSTITUTION) could be created to change the Cost Center in Inventory Management.
