3622203 - Invalid certificate error when setting up SSL for SAP Replication Server - SRS

Symptom

  • When executing the command "sysadmin ssl, checkcert", the following error message is displayed: 'ERROR: Invalid Certificate. The content or format of the certificate is invalid, please check it.'
  • The SRS log file includes the following entries:
  • ccl_verifyidentityfile: filepath is /<path>/REP-16_0/certificates/<certificate>.crt.
  • cert_loadcert: file length is xxxx.
  • ccl_verifyidentityfile: Certificate /<path>/REP-16_0/certificates/<certificate>.crt successfully loaded.
  • cert_sslVerifyIdentity(): sapsecu_decode_cert() returned ret = 261
  • cert_sslVerifyIdentity: Check password Failed.
  • Changing the interfaces file to only have SSL lines for the SRS, the connection to the SRS is successful.
