3622231 - How to create a new Communication Arrangement in S/4HANA Cloud when establishing a connection in Datasphere

Symptom

This KBA aims to describe one of the prerequisites for establishing a connection in Datasphere, including creating a new communication arrangement for required scenario. Take Scenario "SAP_COM_0532" as an example.

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  • Prerequisite: Log in S/4HANA Cloud (Fiori Launchpad) Customizing Tenant (usually Client 100) with Administrator User.
  • Create a new Communication Arrangement
    1. Open the Communication Arrangements APP.
    2. Click the New button.
    3. Search for the required scenario.
    4. Click the required scenario.
    5. Rename the Arrangement Name.
    6. Click the Create button.
  • Configurate the Communication Arrangement
    1. Select the Communication system.
      About how to create a Communication system, please refer to  How to create a Communication User and a Communication System in S/4HANA Cloud when establishing a connection in Datasphere | SAP Help Portal.
      Note: If you have many required Communication Scenarios in one Datasphere Connection, please select the same Communication System when creating Communication Arrangements.
    2. Select Authorization Group ID if has this property.
      For Authorization Group ID, please refer to KBA 3118974 - Communication arrangement creation fails due to error "Authorization Group must be maintained"
    3. Record the API-URL. e.g.,  https://myXXXXXX-api.s4hana.cloud.sap
    4. Click the Save button.
