3623071 - IPS job fails for IAS target system with error "Unknown value 'XX' for attribute 'name.honorificPrefix'"

Symptom

  • In Identity Provisioning (IPS) tenant, a job is provisioning to Identity Authentication (IAS) target system.

  • The IPS job is failing with the following error, where XX could be anything but Ms. or Mr. 
    error=HTTP operation failed invoking https://<IAS_tenant>.accounts.ondemand.com/scim/Users/xxxxxxxxxxxxx with statusCode: 400, Response: {"schemas":["urn:ietf:params:scim:api:messages:2.0:Error"],"status":"400","detail":"Unknown value 'XX' for attribute 'name.honorificPrefix'","scimType":"invalidValue"},
  • This error could be seen while using IAS SCIM API version 1 or 2.
