3623466 - Error: External ID XXXXXXX is already being used by Person UUID (YYYYYYYYYYYY) with person ID &&&&&&&&

Error: "External ID XXXXXXX is already being used by Person UUID (YYYYYYYYYYYY) with person ID &&&&&&&& (FS4BPU_EMPL_MINIMSTR 135)" is faced during:

• Worker replication from External HR system to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
• Worker creation or update via import functionality of Manage Workforce App.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

During conversion of an External Employment (BBP005) to Internal Employment (BUP003) or vice versa, the same Work Agreement ID is used.

During conversion scenario, a new work agreement with a different work agreement ID has to be created instead of editing the existing work agreement. 

For Example:
If the external work agreement ID of a worker is ABCD_1, during a conversion scenario instead of editing the business role to BUP003 directly in ABCD_1, it is recommended to create a new work agreement with the role BUP003.
