• Wrong Tare Weight in Packing.
• The tare weight is empty, without showing the gross weight of the Main Packaging Material.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Find and select the relevant Outbound Delivery ID.
4. Click Packing.
5. Select the relevant Packaging ID.
6. Go to the Weight & Measurements tab.
7. It can be observed that the field Tare Weight is filled with a value which is less/different than the Gross Weight value maintained in the Material Master of the Main Packaging Material or the Logistics Unit. 
8. The other fields seem to be picking the value maintained in the Material Master of the Content Product.

The system calculates the tare weight by default only when the packaging weight is entered for the first time. From the second time, the system provides the option to change the tare weight, and it will not re-calculate the tare weight.

1. When the packaging weight is entered for the first time, the system calculates the tare weight by default.
2. From the second time, the system gives the option to change the tare weight as the tare weight can be changed.
3. The system will not re-calculate the tare weight.
4. The tare weight gets calculated only when the value gets entered for the first time. Tare weight is not a fixed value always.
