Symptom

An SAP Data Services job with SNC authentication enabled will fail, displaying an error message similar to the following:

  • Cannot connect to SAP Applications datastore <datastore_name> using host <***>, client <xxx>, user <***>,
    and system number <00: CRFC error: RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE-
    LOCATION    CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host *** with Unicode
    ERROR       GSS-API(maj): No credentials were supplied
    GSS-API(min): No credentials found for this name (not logged
    on) (USER name="p:CN=***, OU=***, O=***, C=***"
