3623628 - Multiple approvals leading to duplicate user profiles creation

• Multiple approvals possible for a hire workflow which led to multiple user profiles being generated
• Two profiles created for the same employee with different user ids and pointing to same workflow ID

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Hire Workflows

1. Perform the Add New Employee action in SuccessFactors which triggers 1 hire workflow.
2. Approver clicks the approve button twice on this single workflow, leading to multiple approvals and multiple profile generation.
   The step 2 is not always possible as the screen changes on approval, but sometimes the screen remains and its possible to approve again leading to this issue.

The issue occurs when the approver clicks the approve button twice before the screen refreshes, allowing multiple approvals.

Engineering teams had marked this as code defect.

The issue will be fixed with 2H2025 where multiple approvals will be blocked even if screen remains.

For the duplicate user created:

• Purge one of the user profile that was created by mistake.
• We recommend to retain the userID profile that is searchable on the manage workflow requests page with the workflow attached
