3623837 - Termination Reason in Latest People Profile Card shows different on View and Edit

Symptom

  • When viewing Termination Reason in Employment details, it shows as "No data", when it should be reflecting the termination reason found in Job information.
  • E.g. The termination record in Job information has Termination Reason as "Self-Termination", but in Employment Details Termination Reason shows as "Data Change"

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employment details of affected user, see that Termination Reason shows as "No Data"
  2. Go to Job Information history of affected user, see that Termination Reason reflects correctly.

Cause

  • There is a second record in Job Information with a different event reason on the same effective data as the Termination Record.
  • Overlapping records on the same effective date will cause issues with Termination Reason.

Resolution

Ensure there is no overlapping records in Job Information with the same effective date as the Termination Record.
