Symptom
Indeed are requesting the formatting of RMK feeds be changed to prevent parsing errors. The request applies to the following:
CDATA is not present in all tags : Indeed expects the content of XML tags to be wrapped in <![CDATA[]> in order to prevent future parsing errors.
Escape characters in file : Escape characters (HTML entities) can result in unexpected formatting on Indeed, and are a common cause of parsing errors. Indeed does not support HTML entities for this reason.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Resolution
This request is the default response from Indeed for any feeds submitted to them by a third party.
However, SAP SuccessFactors has an exemption which has been validated by the Indeed aggregation teams around these “errors” as they do not negatively impact how jobs appear on Indeed.
The jobs come over to Indeed preformatted and there is no change required from SAP SuccessFactors or customers for Indeed to consume these feeds successfully.
Note the ideal template to use for standard feeds creation for Indeed is 'Indeed - 1PRIMARY'
If there is any unique field mapping used by the customer we can evaluate an alternative template to cater for specific requirements. The MEDIA team can be engaged via a Support case to advise.
