When creating an Allocation Cycle for Profit Center context, error "Primary / secondary cost element & cannot be used in Profit Center Allocation" is triggered

Within the Profit Center context in universal allocation, only Accounts of type N (Non-operating expenses/income) and X (Balance sheet accounts) are accepted. To perform allocation on cost elements, allocation context Cost Center is to be used.
