3624135 - DB6: DBI1152E and DBI20129E error with SWPM

Symptom

  • WARNING 2025-06-19 06:18:48.375 (root/sapinst) id=syslib.network.getInfoFailed: Unable to determine parameter "DNS domain name". DNS domain name is not configured in resolv.conf (UNIX) or the registry (Windows).
  • Execution of the command "/db2/db2<sid>/db2_software/instance/db2icrt -s -a SERVER_ENCRYPT -u" finished with return code 1. Output: DBI1152E To run this program, you cannot be root user.
  • After run the same command with non-root user, error DBI20129E The command failed because an invalid parameter was specified.
