3624315 - SuccessFactors App in Microsoft Teams: unable to connect to concurrent employment in home tab

Symptom

  • Unable to connect to concurrent employment in Home Tab in MS Teams.
  • Error message: "Not found".
  • No issue connecting to primary employment.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite 2505

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to:
Work Tech Configuration → Settings → SAP SuccessFactors App in Teams → Set "Microsoft API Permission Type" to Delegated.

  2. Log in to Microsoft Teams using your Primary Employment account → Click the Home tab → Complete successful authentication.
  3. Create a Concurrent Employment account for the Primary Employment account
  4. Switch to concurrent employment account via the Home tab.
  5. Encounter error "Not Found".

Cause

In delegate mode, the backend server lacks the permission to query user information and update the latest user data to the database.

The backend user data uses information obtained during the user's initial login.

If a user later adds a Concurrent Employment account, without disconnecting and reconnecting, the backend data will not be updated.
