3624323 - Add custom columns to the Learning History portlet

Symptom

How to add an additional or custom columns to the Learning History portlet in SuccessFactors Learning.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP SuccessFactors
  2. Access Learning
  3. Navigate to Learning History

Cause

This is not possible because it is hard-coded.

Resolution

On the user's Learning History page, there are predefined columns such as Title, Completion Date, Status, User ID, Action etc. Currently, it is not possible to add custom columns to this page because these columns are hard-coded.

Regarding the 'User ID' column, if it does not appear, there is a functionality controlled by a flag that is disabled by default. To enable this column, the administrator needs to enable the 'learningHistoryOfAllEmployments' flag in System Configuration -> LMS_ADMIN. When this flag is set to 'true', a new column called 'User ID' will be added to the Learning History column.

  • If there is a business requirement to add custom columns to the Learning History page, contact the SAP Professional Services Team by referring to KBA 2149831. They can assist in exploring the possibility of adding custom columns.
  • To see an option to add custom columns in a future release of LMS, raise this as an enhancement request by referring to KBA 2090228. The product management team will review the request based on its priority and the number of votes it receives, and may consider it for a future release of LMS.
