3624329 - Error 'Open item management is not defined for reconciliation accounts' when Changing 'Recon. Account for Account Type' indicator - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When changing 'Recon. Account for Account Type' from empty to K or D for one account, the following error and warning occurred:

• Error: Open item management is not defined for reconciliation accounts 
• Warning: Field "Open Item Management" contains an entry, although it is hidden 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app Manage G/L Account Master Data.
2. Enter account number and company code.
3. Press enter.
4. Try to change the 'Recon. account for acct type' indicator.  

Check the account group type to confirm whether the OIM (Open Item Management) field is suppressed in SSCUI 103508 Define Account Group -> Maintain field status group: control.

For example, the account was changed from SAKO(the OIM field is not suppressed) to ABST, which causing the OIM field suppressed.

1. Temporarily change the account group to one where the OIM (Open Item Management) field is not suppressed i.e. SAKO. 
2. Remove the OIM indicator.
3. Change the account group back to ABST and change the 'Recon. account for acct type' indicator.

This change is only permitted if no open items exist and the balance is zero.
