Asset depreciation calculation presented in the Lease Contract is not in-line with figures shown on the Asset in App 'Manage Fixed Assets'

Valuation changes performed on Lease Contract, affecting depreciation do not reflect correctly in Asset depreciation visible in App 'Manage Fixed Assets'

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

A depreciation key that is different from LEAX is used on the Asset

1. Open App 'Manage Fixed Assets' and look up the Asset used in the lease contract.
2. In the 'Valuation' section, check the Depreciation Key assigned to the Asset.
3. To enable depreciation calculation to be assigned directly from the lease contract, ensure that LEAX depreciation key is selected.
4. Using any other depreciation keys on a lease asset linked to a contract will lead to the asset depreciation not being updated automatically from the contract calculations when contract changes are performed.
