Symptom
After releasing the production order whose all components are backflushed, Pick_List output status is stuck in "In Preparation" status and not changed to 'Completed'. When trying to manually send output, the warning message "Item is not relevant for output" appears.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a production order and ensure all components have the Backflush indicator set.
- Release the order and save.
- Enter the order again. Go to the output management screen via "Order->Output->Output Management".
- For the PICK_LIST item, the status remains "In Preparation" and does not change to "Completed".
Cause
The root cause of the issue is that the current business document does not meet the conditions defined for triggering the output.
In Output Parameter Determination app, checking the business rule for Manufacturing Order (Production Planning) > Output Relevance, for PICK_LIST item, the condition "Order has pickable component" is set as True, which means the production order should have at least one none-backflushed component. In the sample production order, however, all components have the "backflush" indicator set. Therefore, the "Order has pickable component" condition is not fulfilled, resulting in the Pick List output item remaining "In Preparation" status.
Resolution
If production order with all backflushed components needs to be printed, do not set the "Order has pickable component" condition.
