Symptom

"Accept Match" button does not show up in Add New Employee page when rehire an inactive user 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

  • Hire

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login instance, go to Add New Employee
  2. Add company and event reason value
  3. Add the inactive user's first and last name
  4. Click "Continue" button
  5. The duplicate check pops up, however, no "Accept Match" button.

Cause

Employee Status selected in event reason is Discarded.

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures<Event Reason
  2. Select the event reason that is used for the inactive user
  3. Update the employee status to Terminated (external code is T in picklist center<employee-status).
  4. Save the change
  5. Update the inactive user's Termination record in Job Information.
  6. Add New employee again
