3625269 - Unable to add multiple legend to bar chart in a Story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Unable to add more than one legend on a bar chart.
• Unable to display a second legend on a bar chart in a Story in SAP Analytics Cloud.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.8.13

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a Story.
2. Add a bar chart with one measure and at least two dimensions.
3. A Legend is automatically added to the chart, but it only reflect the information for one dimension. Unable to add a second Legend.

The functionality to display a separate or individual legend for each bar in a bar/column chart when using more than one dimension is not supported in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• It is only possible to have one Legend on a Bar Chart in SAP Analytics Cloud.
    
• Note that it is possible to change on what Dimension the colors in the Legend is based on for the Chart. To change which Dimension is used for the bar colors when there are multiple Dimensions on a bar chart, follow the steps below:

1. 1. Open the Story containing the bar chart in SAP Analytics Cloud.
   2. Go to edit mode.
   3. Select the bar chart, and on the right-hand side, under "Builder," scroll to the "Color" section.
   4. Under "Color," remove the current dimension and add the second dimension instead.
   5. This will associate the bar colors and the legend with the second dimension.
