3625280 - Unable to Re-initiate Onboarding for Purged Onboardee "This applicant is already hired. User ID: xxx" - Recruiting Management

• Unable to re-initiate onboarding for a purged onboardee.
• The application page shows the message: "This applicant is already hired. User ID: xxx" even though the User ID has been purged.

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Purge the user account for the onboardee.
2. In Recruiting, change the candidate's status back to Hirable.
3. Try to re-initiate onboarding.
4. Notice that the Initiate Onboarding / Reinitiate Onboarding option is greyed out.
5. The application page shows the message: "This applicant is already hired. User ID: xxx". 

The user account of the inactive onboardee hasn't been permanently purged.

Permanently purge the inactive onboardee user. Use 'Data Inspector' to verify if the data was successfully purged.

Once the purge is completed, run a validation using the Check Tool.

1. Navigate to Check Tool > Validation
2. From the Application dropdown, select Onboarding and click Go
3. Select "Process trigger object exists for the new hire. (ONB2CheckProcessTriggerObjectExists)" and click Run Check
4. Enter the Application ID
5. Apply the quick fix if available

If after permanently purging the user, the status in Recruiting remains unchanged, consider rehiring the inactive user from EC. For more information, please refer to KBA 2079985 - How to Rehire an Inactive Employee - Employee Central.
