3625389 - Error "Too many data records selected" in Monitor Material Coverage app

While using the MRP cockpit like "Monitor Material Coverage Net and Individual Segments," the error message "Too many data records selected" is displayed.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app "Monitor Material Coverage," "Monitor Material Coverage - Net Segments," or "Monitor Material Coverage - Net/Individual Segments."
2. Select plant
3. Click "Go"

The application Monitor Material Coverage has a data loading threshold of 20,000 materials based on the selected filter criteria. When the system identifies a number of entries exceeding this limit, an error is triggered during data retrieval.

The number of materials for a specific plant can be checked via CDS view I_ProductPlant.

To avoid data load issues in the Monitor Material Coverage app, ensure the system processes fewer than 20,000 materials at a time. Follow these recommendations:

• Restrict the Area of Responsibility (AoR) by limiting the number of plant and MRP controller combinations.
• Apply specific filters (e.g., Material Type, Plant, MRP Area, etc.) to narrow down the material selection.
• Avoid assigning more than 20,000 material-to-MRP area combinations to any single MRP controller.
• If initial filters still return excessive results, further refine the criteria.
