3625561 - Unable to access knowledge Management (KM) applications due to 500 internal server error in SAP Enterprise Portal

Symptom

  • After upgrading SAP Enterprise Portal to Netweaver version 7.50 SPXX, Knowledge Management (KM) applications cannot be accessed. When users try to open KM applications, a “500 Internal Server Error” is displayed.
  • The default trace shows the following errors:   

            java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.sapportals.wcm.protocol.webdav.server.WDCacheServlet
            Caused by: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

            and 

           com.sapportals.wcm.repository.runtime.CmStartupException: KM can't start for more than 10 minutes!
