3625653 - Testcase Execution out of SAP Solution Manager fails if variants and test parameters are used - Tricentis

Symptom

  • When running a TestCase from SAP Solution Manager, Tosca Commander will start as expected, open the Tosca Workspace and create the required ExecutionList but it will not execute the created ExecutionList. 
  • Looking into the ECATT logs the following error message can be seen: 
    "An execption occured in Edit Test Parameters :
    System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Tricentis.TCAddIns.SAPSolutionManagerAddIn.eCattAddInContext.GetDefaultParamsFor(GetDefaultParamsForParameters parameters) at Tricentis.TCAddIns.SAPSolutionManagerAddIn.Tasks.EditECATTParametersTask.RunInMainTask() "
