3625861 - Custom Code List Description only allows up to 60 characters

Symptom

When creating Custom Code List it's not possible to add more than 60 characters on the description.

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud V2
  • SAP Service Cloud V2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click on the User Icon.
  2. Navigate to Settings > All Settings.
  3. Go to Extensibility.
  4. Select Custom Code Lists.
  5. Open any existing code list.
  6. Try to add a line with a description with more than 60 characters. 
  7. Observe the error message: "Description length cannot exceed 60 characters."

Cause

The Description field is designed to allow a maximum of 60 characters. Any input exceeding this limit triggers the error message.

Resolution

Insert a description with less than the 60 characters limit.
